Kuldiga

Kuldiga town in the Kurzeme region (formerly Courland) with its historical district and Valley of the River Venta, is known as ‘The Latvian Venice’. Kuldīga is one of the most charming and magical towns in Latvia. It is a town which has preserved its medieval appearance and charm. The historical centre of Kuldīga received the European Heritage Label in 2008 and was included in the Tentative List of UNESCO World Heritagein in 2011.
