Upper Sûre Nature Park

Located at the northwest of Luxembourg, also known as the Ardennes, the Upper Sûre Nature Park is largely dominated by wooded slopes and high plateaus outlined against a distant background where horizons and skies meet.

The heart of the Upper Sûre Nature Park is the reservoir which supplies two thirds of Luxembourg’s population with drinking water. It’s the biggest lake of the Grand-Duchy and attracts nature fans as well as water sport lovers.

The “Maison du Parc” is the perfect starting point to discover the region around the overwhelming lake. From the beginning of May until the end of September you have the opportunity to learn fascinating details about the flora and fauna in and around the Upper Sûre Reservoir and its history on board of a solar-powered boat. Come and visit also the old cloth factory with its museum which shows how wool was processed into cloth.

Tourism, culture, environmental protection and economic as well as social development are promoted and closely integrated in the concept of the Nature Park. It also stands for high-quality regional products “vum Séi” (literally: from the lake).
